I love the fact that they're trying to steer them away from the JSF &
F-22. Can't go around threatening sacred cows now can we...heck it's not
the mil need...it's a mil-industrial need....

No F-111/A6//B52/B1/B2 replacement currently budgeted for so....UCAV'es can
do that.....

The navy is about ships & flat tops are...well...flat tops...so the
navy doesn't mind replacing expensive cockpits with a high G resistant
black boxes...

Very stealthy pentrator...well that's just a cruise on steroids...

So that leaves airforce air to air types....well...ain't it about BVR
missiles & run away to fight another day anyway nowadays?

So imagine a fleet of very stealthy drones equipped (internally) with
meteor or Amraam (& possibly a couple of asraam for short range stuff).
Now tie them into a networked info system such that they don't need to emit
any of that nasty detectable Em radiation...people will wonder why their
fighters keep suddenly blowing up in the air without warning...

Build some more C17'es or buy some antonovs. Take the trials that were done
wrt ejecting flyable cargoes in flight. A C5/17/an-24 could carry a whole
strike package to within a safe distance...

Oh & buy std airliners to keep George S'es types in the air. Give them
all cargo doors & make the workstations etc roll on roll off so today
you have an mpa, tomorrow a tanker & the day after you're flying troops
home...
