Excellent.  Time our side won a few.

Dunno.  It may be that the differential level between fax and modem is
speced to another range for the Courier.

The idea is that you send a fax at a considerably lower level than modem
data, since faxes can't echocancel.  ????   (It's in da book, and wot dey
said...:-)

I wouldn't.   I _would_ get an independent send level check from somewhere
else - too high a level isn't good, but you're only really interested in
the modem side.  FOLDS is marvelously useful for the equalization and
frequency response.

(Caveat - I have gotten "correct" send levels out of FOLDS, using
a Microcom.   And I've never been able to connect with my Couriers at all.)
