| subject: | FOLDS - What to send? |

The idea is that you send a fax at a considerably lower level than modem data, since faxes can't echocancel. ???? (It's in da book, and wot dey said...:-) FF> Still, FOLDS reported an error rate of 0 bits per 100,000 bits sent, and it FF> received the whole page, so should I even worry about this? I wouldn't. I _would_ get an independent send level check from somewhere else - too high a level isn't good, but you're only really interested in the modem side. FOLDS is marvelously useful for the equalization and frequency response. (Caveat - I have gotten "correct" send levels out of FOLDS, using a Microcom. And I've never been able to connect with my Couriers at all.)
