You can with the newer compilers, such as Free Pascal and Virtual Pascal
(and Delphi also). I don't normally have a need for that function, but
normally, when I write doors, I use a Halt statement to just stop the
program.

I haven't had a need (yet!) to do anything in C/C++. I have looked at
enough code to feel that when I do need to learn it, I'll be able to.
