As such, you can not claim your code is portable to the point that it will compile on any AMIGA, C64, C128, CP/M, Embedded System, etc. Which is the same arguement as to why most C Programmers that choose STD C when learning C use.... They claim they want to write ANSI C to be cross-platform compatible. If that's the case, then stick to ANSI-C and do without graphics, because your not going to find a ANSI-C Graphics library for an embedded system! Granted, restricting code to being that portable is often pointless, unless your writing a utility for multiple operating systems, however, it none the less is the supposedly goal of newbie programmers who start off in C because of its compatibility without fully understanding what that means to their program..... --- SBBSecho 2.00-Win32* Origin: MLC-Group BBS -- mlc-group.dyndns.org (1:396/60) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 396/60 45 106/2000 633/267 |
