BTW, typically, you can just copy the old mm.exe over the new one and have
it work; but certainly, you can share the mmail.rc between versions. Just
copy the old one over; the new mm will rewrite it, preserving your old
settings, except where the keywords have since been removed. (If you want
to avoid having the old mmail.rc rewritten by the new mm, and thus losing
the outdated keywords, you can manually edit the "Version:" line to 0.46 or
a higher number before running mm.)

The principal difference that's likely to be relevant here is the new
layout for temporary directories. Replies are being created in a different 
location in 0.46 than they were in 0.37. See the HISTORY file, under 0.45.

What builds of MultiMail are you using? (Are you sure you didn't change OS
builds -- e.g., from DOS to Win32 -- as well as the version?) In what
directories are they installed? Have you set an MMAIL environment variable?
