I suspected there was a bit more to it, but those sound more like long-term
goals than immediate objectives. Ok, they *want* to rule the world, but
what would they settle for?

What's depressing is that it's all so vague - 4 people gave 4 different
answers, and that's in a group which I expect is more informed than
average. The whole news coverage since 9/11 has been, "They're evil
bastards who bombed us". No real explanation as to why, other than to
say they're fanatics who want to destroy our way of life. Frankly, I just
don't believe that.
