No idea.. would have to ask. Although I think it's very feasable as a movie 
of the week format or possibly even a feature *IF* they carefully kept the 
orientation *TOS* related and not TNG/DS-9/Voyager. They kinda got the
flavor for Trials and Tribulations, the Voyager episode was poorly done and 
over-acted IMNSHO.
 
Remember that since TNG.. there is a different mentality prevailing at the 
franchise.. in fact I got into a discussion that could have gotten heated 
quickly over the Defiant being a "warship".. something the person I was 
discussing it with prefered that it was NOT called. 
 
I could definately see it with a seperate set of writers that were not 
working under the "kinder/gentler" mentality that prevails, and knew how to 
work a script. The producer and director should understand the old TOS 
mentality/orientation. Wouldn't be bad to bring back Bennett (if he wasn't 
blackballed) and possibly Nimoy for this. Remember.. Sulu was a bit of a 
swashbuckler at heart. ;)
