Well, a good place to start is http://archives.thebbs.org. You'll find a
large depository of Fidonet software under the "file archives"
link.

Look under "Front Ends and Mailers"; you'll find Argus and Radius
there. They are 32-bit windows mailers that can do telnet, BinkP and
dial-up mail transfers. (Radius is a clone of Argus, based on it's open
source code)

Under "InterNet BBS Utilities", you will find Irex (also
available at http://members.shaw.ca/InternetRex). That one does BinkP as
well, and also FTP and e-mail attachment based transfers.

Under "Message Base Utilities, you will find a wide variety of mail
tossers and message base maintenance utilities. I highly recommend either
Squish or HPT. You can also find FTN editors in that area. Amongst the more
popular ones are GoldEd (there's several different versions, also due to an
open source), MsgEd and FTNed.

You can also find most of these programs plus a few others on my own BBS
files site. The URL is http://madhsefile.ods.org.

There are also a few packages specifically tailored to point setups. Some
of these include Sempoint (available on my site), FrontDoor APX (at
www.defsol.de) and Terminate (www.terminate.com).

Play around with some of those programs a bit, and if you find a
combination that you like and want some more in-depth help in setting it
all up, feel free to e-mail me at magrant{at}madmail.ods.org, or
mike.grant{at}softhome.net. I mmay also have an archive of a
GoldEd/Squish/Sqafix/Irex combination package kicking around somewhere on
my hard disks.
