I'm pretty sure I'm the only person here who's read Mein Kampf from cover to cover.
Bush now has his secret police. He has his ill-defined enemy against whom
all should struggle, and in the name of which struggle civil liberties
shall be abandoned. He has imprisonment without charge or even
acknowledgement, and US citizens have been spirited away to camps outside
US borders.
Where most Germans thought the Jews deserved their fate in some manner,
most Americans now think the same about Muslims.
Hardly a day passes without some news of another infringement of US civil liberties.
There is, however, one major difference. The Jews were a minor race unable
to defend themselves. There are 1.5 billion Muslims, and they have the
bomb.
