The reality is that you are going to steadily sink down to the level of the
PRC etc as they rise towards you in a globalization of rights & crim
law etc.
Do you seriously think that listening to US > Abroad conversations is
ever going to end?
At some stage you know the "abroad" bit will become steadily
greyed over e.g. The US works with the canadians to establish
telephone/voip routing centers in canada....
I look forward to the US right suddenly waking up to this.
US exceptionalism in the areas of rights & freedoms is becoming an item
of historical interest only.
