| subject: | Win XP stuck in Setup Loop |
| I am looking to find again, a .doc that I saved somewhere. In the mean |time, |the secret was to go beyond the "Repair" that you first find when doing the CD |reinstall. Go for the "Install again" and then it will see that there is |already an OS on the machine and offer you a second "Repair" and that one ought |to do the trick. I am sure that you can read the next instructions on your |screen. +-[JP=>MP] Actually, that is the "repair" that I used. Once it was done, the system rebooted, and when Windows came up, it said it was continuing setup and started the "install again repair" setup all over again. ;-) After 2 or 3 times, I was thinking maybe there is something I can change on the HD so that it will not think it needs to keep re-running setup.
