  I use one of those as well.  Have had it for more years than I can
remember.
  Two blades in a plastic case I comb though my hair about every six weeks. 
Those blades are only good for about two trimming, and flip them over for
another two cuttings.  The length of the hair depends on the angle the "comb"
is used.
  The use two mirrors to see to trim the back and shave the nape.
  Only been to a barber once in about 35 years.  
  We had a barber college here with low prices and used them all the time. 
They have been gone for years.  I think a hair cut was like $1.25 there.  
  The last real hair cut was on my trip in Del Rio, TX and it was $20!
