LC> The most innovative and amusing (and likely very successful) "stop
LC> faxing me" message I have ever seen was a reply fax that read
LC> "Please note that whilst we are prepared to accept unsolicited faxes we
LC> charge $15.00 handling fee to defer the costs associated with them.
PC> Please accept this fax as notice of our terms. Should we recieve any
LC> further faxes originating from you or an agent acting on your behalf, we
LC> will take that as acceptance of the above terms, and issue an
LC> appropriate invoice and enforce it through collections. A copy of this
LC> communication together with the associated fax has been placed on our
LC> litigation file for future reference."

 LC> Excellent, don't you think?
Works with me, Laurie ! Mind, I think our Legal Beagle might have other
thoughts... The message's wording sure sounds "serious enough" as to
scare more than a few potential "amateur" fax advertisers, in similar
vein to those old "parking tickets" that used to flap from wiper blades
that people used to indicate to "the other guy" their displeasure(s)...
(Hah ! And I'm even aware of one guy that had actually gone down to the
police station to _pay one_: a cop, in fact, that just assumed that the
paper was "real". Obviously, he didn't bother to read it...closely.)
