Howdy! Sean,
I thank everyone for all the messages that my two different topics
generated.
I am a hobbyist, not a BBS SysOp so I don't feel the need to have my
computing gear on 24-7, but I do appreciate You and the other SysOps
that do for hobbyist.
Someone I talked to told me I ought to keep the UPS on so the Router
and the DSL Modem wouldn't have to Shake Hands for five minutes when
they were turned on, and I could just press the power buttons on the
XP box and Monitor and use them almost immediately.
I tried that for a couple of months and went back to my old procedure.
Thanks everyone for posting messages about UPS's and SCSI, I did find
some interesting things in all of them.
