If you have type someclass = class private tmpint: integer; end; You can modify tmpint all over the unit but not in other units. It should _only_ be the method of the class which you be able to access tmpint, like in Java and C++. BTW Is my argument true in TP7+ (and brothers) too ? PS> I haven't touched any Pascal code in the last 6 years, and I don't intend PS> to ever again. ;) I really really hope not to do pascal any further.. Except for I would rather write Delphi/Pascal than M$ VB.NET.
