-= Pete Replied to Albert Alcoceba about: USR Couriers =-

G'day Albert

AA> Personally the endless USR connections stats being posted in
AA> this echo are getting very annoying.

Well there's always the "Next Msg" key. :-)

AA> These stats might be interesting to a bunch of sysops using USR
AA> modems but to the majority of readers I would say they are a
 AA> waste of time!

I think the over posting of stats could become an annoyance though at
times they are an aid to finding a problem.

AA> I don't know who the moderator of this area is offhand but
AA> perhaps they might like to consider declaring those USR stats
 AA> postings off topic.

I don't agree with a total ban because at times they are handy,
Possibility limit them to only when needed after the're no more
annoying than endless AT&V dumps.

AA> Surely those discussions would be more appropriate in
 AA> USR_MODEMS.

Looked at the size of the traffic in USR_MODEMS lately, It's too big
now where AUST_MODEM even with USR stat dumps is small enough to read
without taking hours.

AA> Not everyone owns or wants to own a USR.

You sure about that :-)

     Pete.
