It isn't necessary for your current setup Jason. If you buy a new motor either a modified or a stock motor excluding the 540 you will need to put capacitors on the motor supress noise emitted from the motor. Electronic speed controls require you to put capacitors on the motor. But don't worry about capacitors for now.
