I have a vague problem while using word ver 6.0. This is part of MS
Office ver 4.3c.
When I create a new file  and save it  first time, it immediately
becomes "READ ONLY".
But if I exit word and restart word, it allows me to edit the file till
I save it first time. After that it is read only.
I have checked all the settings, options and nowhere have i asked the
program to make the file read only.
I have been using Word for quite sometime and have never faced this. I
had saved the original "NORMAL.DOT" file and reloaded it but no luck.
Can anyone suggest what I should do other than loading the entire
software afresh, which I have done already.
I am posting a copy of this in the Microsoft word area(367) but I think
that area is no longer being updated.
Please help. This problem is most irritating and I hope there is some
solution for this.
