 Excuse me for poking my nose in here, but I take it you ladies are home-
 schooling your kids?  Why?  Don't you think they will ever amount to much?
 You think that by home schooling they will be able to qualify for the better
 scholarships from the better universities?  Unless your children are in-
 valids or totally retarded, you are just taking advantage of a law that was
 set up for children in that situation, those who could not attend a public
 or private school because of their physical or mental disabilities.....
 Seems to me that if you really cared about your children's welfare, you 
ould
 be doing everything you could to keep them in school, not dragging them out
 and hiding them in a closet someplace.  School is not just Reading, writting
 and arithmatic, it is also where children learn social interactions, how to
 get along in stressful situations, and where they learn discipline.....also
 where the parents can dump their kids for 8 hours per day, 5 days per week!!
 Being an educator, that is what I see more and more each day, parents 
ending
 their kids off to to the "professional babysitter" and not taking a lick of
 interest in what or how the child does in school.
 Filling out those forms are mandatory and failure to do so can lead to the
 removal of the child from the parents custody for the welfare of the child.
 You might not like it, I might not like it, but that is the law.  A law that
 really does not care what the parent does, only that the child is well cared
 for, as it should be.  Now damn it, you made the children, you and your hus-
 band or boyfriend, now be responsible enought to give them half the chance 
f
 getting off of the welfare roles.....send them back to school where they do
 belong!!!
