Seen the movies, read some of the books but she's not a total tolkien fan
just ¨yet.  A few more years needed before that sets in.

Check it out.  Sounds right in line with what you would like.  Amazon.com
has ¨it for 2$ or so used.  It's a Cinderella tale with a nice twist and
delightful ¨actors. It didnt make big box office money, but it's a fun
watch.

Another good one, I'm looking for since the VHS tape died, is Xenon.  Kid
in ¨space makes good.
