But the stoploss program is legal. Courts have upheld over and over. The 50,000 is over a 4 year period. Somewhere around 12,000 now. We are at war and we don't have a draft. Stoploss is nothing new and well known. It is used to maintain the cohesion of units that are deploying to a war zone. Continously splitting up units was a bad thing in Vietnam and hurt effectiveness.
