I have Quicken 5 Deluxe for Windows 95. Can anyone tell me what the
latest version of Quicken is for Windows 95? The next question is can
I get there from version 5 or do I have to get interim versions?
What's the advantages of upgrading?

When George enlightened CHUCK HOELTJE about Quicken

CH>I have Quicken 5 Deluxe for Windows 95.

There is no such thing. Quicken 5 is a 16-bit program that just happens
to run under Windows 95 without problem.

CH>the latest version of Quicken is for Windows 95?

Quicken 6.0/

CH>Can I get there from version 5 or do I have to get
CH>interim versions? What's the advantages of upgrading?

Very easily. All data is converted (in fact I upgraded from 3.0). The
advantages of upgrading are:

     32-bit program
     Improved performance
     Better Internet support
     Improved GUI
True multitasking under Windows 95 (NOTE: 6.0 also comes in a 16-
       bit version with fewer features.)

Select help about while holding down shift. In addition to stating
which release you have, it tells you what DLLs are installed. If you
are running the 32 bit version, several have the number 32 in their
names. This info. comes from an Intuit representative who posted a
similar reply on Compuserve.
