  On my trips the last couple of years rooms went from $40 something to
$175 a night (that was on a holiday weekend and a shock to me at check out
time).  And I stayed at both econo chains and mom and pop places (the ones I
prefer).  Most rooms were in the $4
  And they all had free wifi.
