RW> MH>> I have one called "Battery Tender". They work like a champ. RW> TW> I have Two of those. The 800 Ma model and the 1.25 Amp model. Teh 80 RW> TW> ma was frop my smaller Ham Radio SLA battereis adn the 1.25 for car RW> TW> battries They are great becasue they were specifily designed for RW> TW> keeping little used batteries ready to go. RW>Why not solar panels? One could use those solar powered yard lights to RW>charge small batteries. Those Yard Light solar units can barelly charge a AA cell. Useless for a car battery. But for a vehicle stores i na Garage it would work. Onw woild need at least a 25 Watt solar panel, a 40 watt unit would be better, and a Charge controller We are talking quite a bit more then the cost odf a Batery tender though. The deal out there is the Harbor Freight Solar panel kit at $190.00 It includes a 45 watt panel and a solar charge controller. --- þ SLMR 2.1a þ Typo Tom strikes agaoin* Origin: Fidonet Since 1991 And Still Here.
