I used to use SCSI with OS/2 Warp 3.0 in the old days.  Even was using
several of the HP DAT tape drives (with auto-loaders) via SCSI back then.

Depends on what you are pointing to the syslog server.  One of my work
firewalls set to informational - if pointed to the syslog server was using
5-6GB per day.  

Windows can run syslog servers with no issues.  If I remember correctly, we
are using Kiwi for some syslogs and Solarwinds for others.
