Same. People are often asking, "Where can I find a payphone?" & I got nothing,
except in places too far away to walk, so I'll usually let them use my mobile,
as I have unlimited calling/data. . .

I didn't either, but I would get, especially in therain, offered rides a lot, &
if it seemed more confortable, I'd take it!
About 8, a mate taught me about hitchhiking, & I used that a lot up to &
throughout my teens (covered far more ground than I could've by walkng -- no
way was I going to walk 2,000+ miles in a go!

Likewise; the '70s were a serene time for me, as viewing from my status now as
an older adult; they sucked as a kid cuz I got bullied throughout, but if I
could put this mind into my childhood body, I'd end the bullying immediately, &
enjoy the chance to do things much differently. . . then I'd probably have
turned into one of the spoiled pukes running things now! So maybe I'll just
stay me & when I am. :)
