Yep.  Weird happenings.  That's why I gave up on Windows for anything near
the internet over 5 years ago, and switched to Linux for my personal
wanderings on the WWW.

The 'cash cow' is the bewildered public.  It's an established cycle: PCs
that continually slowdown over time, get clogged with malware or user
files, and then gouged by viruses... need replacing... cycle repeats.
