right, virtual clone is a software package and it isn't running until after
the OS loads... you can't see it from bootup because it doesn't exist at
that point... generally you'll see the MB diags or splash screen (to hide
all that stuff) and then the scsi... you might even see a video
initialization screen or notice in there some where...

i heard of it a long time back but i've never needed it... i think a friend
used it for some games or something that required the CD to be in the drive
while playing... he didn't want to take a chance of damaging the CD
(scratches) so he went the route of a virtual thing to hold the CD image so
the game would run with that instead...
