AT&T will end up buying Magic Jack.

RW> I recall you mentioning that before.

I don't. (-:0 I mailed a disc to my friend up there and the Post Office
person who served me told me to put Canada at the end of his address,
unless I wanted that disc to end up in the Yucatan peninsula (DUMB!). (-:

When I got U-verse a couple of years ago this April, my first bill was
$549. I called them the next morning and asked if they had lost their
minds. That was fixed right away and my first bill was $163 (a promotional
charge good for 6 months), which is what they promised me before the switch
over.

RW> I'm glad I keep records or I'd be paying still more for their
 RW> book-keeping errors...

I always look at my bill first and then I pay it. The last pay period, I
was charged $15 for "Support +" (which isn't worth a cent), so I
called and had that removed from my bill before I paid it because I never
ordered it! I know more than those guys do.

RW> She did go off-line for a few minutes while she checked on this.

To verify and get permission from a higher up if she wants to keep her job.

 RW>> Speedtests today indicate 4.4Mb/s, a bit slower than 6Mb/s, but I'm

 RN> Still not too shabby.

RW> But still not what I'm paying for.

Check you D/Ls at the M$ site and I think you'll find they are what you're
paying for. I already know that you know that D/L speeds vary wildy from
site to site.
