I have two radios that I've considered for mobile use. One is a Magnavox
D2999 which is a fairly large radio. The other is a Realistic DX-440 (Sangean
ATS-803A). I'd thought about using Velcro on the 440. I've used Velcro myself
to mount small radios in my cars, and it'd probably work on the 440 as well.
The only problem is that the antenna connector for the 440 is on the BACK of
the radio, which would make it more difficult to mount flush. Any
ggestions?
Actually, I'd prefer mounting the Magnavox in the car, since it's much easier
to use and would lend itself more readily to mobile use. (I wouldn't have to
look at the radio as much.)
I also have the added problem of having a CB, a 2mtr rig, and a scanner
mounted in my car. Space is at a premium. B-)
