That is because Windows 7 does not have a built-in DOS emulator like the
previous 32-bit versions of Windows did. You will need to run a DOS
emulator, like DOSbox, to be able to run Blue Wave under Windows 7. You
could also use MultiMail, which will run under Windows 7 (32-bit).
However, if you're using the 64-bit version of Windows 7, Robert Wolfe has
created a 64-bit version of MultiMail, an offline console-mode QWK/BW
reader, that will run under Windows 7. Contact him to learn more. I have
an old beta of his on my Windows 7-powered netbook and it runs fine.
