Heh!  Another new sailor here.  This is what I figured my first sail would be 
like too.  I got so paranoid that I waited for a day when there was almost no 
wind at all and went out ghosting.  Kids were swimming faster than I was 
reaching!   I have to admit though that I kept the daggerboard in the water 
the whole time!  :-)
