subject: QMPro1.53 problems

  -> I just bought a laptop system and tried to run QMPro on it. Modem in
  -> laptop is a MegaHertz XJ1144 (and works great with AOL). I first loaded
  -> QMPro via my tape-backup and made the necessary changes in the config
  -> area. QMPro didn't work.
Run MSD (DOS 6.x and from a C:\DOS prompt) on the laptop and see if it
is in fact seeing Com3 IRQ 9. If it does, I'd contact Mustang and
see if they can be further assistance. If not, then of course, you'd
need to change QmPro's device to match the COM/IRQ.
Make sure the modem INIT string is sending a &C1&D2. Most modems come
defaulted to &C0&D0.
