Kind of a shame... I'd love to have seen a picture of him on the BBS
Documentary... Some of the others I saw like totally shocked me!
I got to see Rob from Synchronet and Chuck Forensburg... (DSZ), and
saw mention of the the dude that made QWK.... I haven't seen anything
on Y2K issues yet, but then again I was so tired when I was watching it,
and got to a spell where I was more worried about my BBS than the video....
Tom Jennings just didn't look like I expected! Nor did I ever know he
worked for Phoenix labs. Might explain how he had the thought to
prepare for various hardware in advance... His planning actually
made it easier to use modern hardware and telnet via serial emulation
today.... Granted, we could have allways used a netserial approach, but
its a lot easier just to load a fossil driver that does the telnet'ing
for you.....
... Don't hit me, Mr. Moderator... I'll go back on topic... I swear!
