The docs for USR distinctive ring show 4 different ring patterns.

You may well have had those "features" (CID and Distinctive ring)
since Nov 95, but can you use them? How long have you had V.34?  My Courier
has been doing V.34 since Oct 94, and V.34+ since July 95.
