I think you will find that the 7.62 minigun was mounted on the LOH (OH-6) 
and performed well.   I also think if you should see the non existant OH-6 
of today (MD 500 or OH-6 D) that hey have several serious weapons platforms 
mounted.  Just guessing, but it seems likely !
