I was given two snippets of code.

Each is in gif format.

The only methodology which came to mind was that the author of these 
code snippets scanned paper documents into gif files.  Is there another 
methodology that anyone can think of?

Does anybody know of a simple and quick way to extract the text from 
these gif images into another file which can be edited in a text editor?
