I looked.

They're selling off parts of the Nantahala and Pisgah National Forests in
North Carolina.  I don't care what type of land it is.  I really don't want
to see it sold to private developers who will build houses right up to the
Blue Ridge Parkway if they get a chance.

What they're selling off in South Carolina and Georgia is just as bad. 
Part of the Chattooga River goes through a section of the Sumter National
Forest, and there have already been problems with private developers trying
to stop people from using the river for recreation.  There have also been
problems with sediment from existing development in the river, and as
Atlanta crawls towards Greenville, water is going to become more of an
issue.
