The cartoons I have in mind have appeared numerous times and been commented
on with outrage, except on the left and black racist groups who defend
making racial slurs at black republicans.  Most recently have been racial
slurs directed towards Maryland's black republican Lt. Governor running for
Governor/Senate.

You should be able to find them with a google search.  I didn't retain
specific copies and links.  Its so common that its not something one
bothers to save.
