I don't use it much, but iTunes prompts for the pw as soon as I  
want to look at my Saved/Later items if I've been away from  
iTunes for a few months. That has caught me offguard a few  
times - and I stumbled on remembering the pw!

I'm surprised that there wasn't any mechanism to help you  
reinstate that same account with a fresh pw.

But I use a simple formula based on the service that I am using  
+string, where +string never changes (unless I have to add a  
number or a special char).


 JH> Moral of the story:  Periodically audit your accounts to
 JH> make sure your backup methods still work.

Or.. come up with a way to reconstruct your passwords so that  
you don't have to remember them.  ;)
