I've never had that problem.
I've had to re-install a few times (PC shop wiped the HD when repairing),
new PC/laptop, etc.
When I do have to re-install for some reason I make a back up of my
bookmarks just in case.

I doubt there will ever be a perfect browser for everyone.
I just hope we never come to the point when there is a one-size-fits-all
browser.
I've used them all at one time or another and find FF fits my needs.
