Where I was living at the time, the town water was very pure. With the
attery
lying on its side and the spray head removed from the hose, I sluiced each
cell in turn so that the junk was driven horizontally to the cell base,
returning with the water flow along the cell side. I was anxious not to have
the mud driven back thru the intersticies between plates and separators. The
experiment was very successful, the battery did further good duty in the auto
but the garden lawn was unhappy for a while.
