Hi Eric
I don't think everyone made it clear. Yes, use a pilot hole
but they didn't tell you not to use too large of a hole. The hole should be
no larger than the small wedge at the tip of the drill bit you intend to
finish with or the drill wil make a 3 or 5 sided hole.
