Hello Jean -

'solution' would be no solution at all.

JP> Not really a solution, rather a prevention. Not a Y2K bug
JP> either. Now, do not ask me why it would do this but so far,
JP> I have had no crunged .rep. Fingers Xed !

I know I'm raining on your parade here but your 'prevention'
relies on a misconfigured BBS fixing dates it is not supposed
to be fixing.

If this BBS reconfigures to FIDO echomail standards your
'prevention' is smoke and mirrors.
