subject: Problem report

RN> EH> Roger, I am not sure if this is your problem, but I had a truck
RN> EH> that would have to sit for 30 minutes after driving before it would
RN> EH> restart.

RN> EH> It had to do with the spring in the starter getting too hot. It
RN> EH> needed to cool down before it would engage the starter again.

RN>I'm just now remembering that my ex had that same problem with her Impala an
RN>because it was out of warranty, would cost her $500 to put a shield between
RN>starter and the engine. One shade-tree wanted to wrap the starter in some k
RN>of heat reflecting material, but she never had it done.

RN> EH> Just a thought...

RN>But a good thought. Thanks.

My post was assumng the starter did function but the engine woudl not
start until it cooled down.
