Once they see how much fun we are having, they won't be able to help themselves.  :)

It would be interesting to see how many ex-sysops still have a copy of the
BBS environment somewhere.

That was the case with me for several years.  I had my original BBS
computer with everything ready to go just sitting in my garage for years.  

With the onset of VMWare, I had this idea one day to see if I could image
and convert the physical BBS computer to a virtual environment.

Obviously, the operation was a complete and utter success.. :)  I did sadly
throw away the old BBS computer (minus the hard drives), but it served me
well.
