CS> xxcarol Never mind my last response as to where to locate the files... I already did. I downloaded several related files, and glanced through them... Not enough to get the entire overview as to how well it operates, but enough to see that if it does what it says it does, that I will embrace it, wether the general Z1 attitude is pro or con for points. You're right... it does -sound- pretty slick. I had many other ideas with it as well... being as "points", there is no geo clause enforcable, as they are not in the nodelist. If the indication from R50 is that being point freindly can achieve those kinds of results, I will not only embrace it, but promote the heck out of it! From what I see, it is not a POTS thing... so long as the potential point can connect, it works. As to the geo thing... anybody doing this as a first step to being a node, I would comply with geo clauses once they wanted to advance, and refer them to the appropriate Region and net, without feeling like I lost anything, but with a sense of accomplishment that I aided in bringing somebody in, in any way shape or form. With the referal to the new geo, would also come the assurance that I have been dealing with the individual, and that their system is fully capable. I am suprised that this hasn't been known around here as available... (but, you did say it was a Z2 thing)... I think it not only could be out of this world for nodes, but it can serve a purpose to FidoNet as a whole, and a very good service at that. I am going to look at this -ALOT- more... and likely use it. Phil --- + Origin: (1:267/169) ============================================================================= Hallo All!
