I was just having an isolationist moment. I mean, why the f*ck should we
have anything to do with the Middle East? Pull out the troops, drop the
foreign aid and use the money we save to develop alternatives to oil.

I'd be more inclined to try helping out there with more food and medical
aid. 38,000 people dying - mainly of malnutrition - each month is truly
appalling.
