  I don't see any reason why that would have any effect one way or the
  other.  Only thing that might be related is if you use the BW delete
  menu to delete the upload file -- there is an option there to delete
  the replies as well.

   Or it is just possible that changing the procedure meant that you are
   not doing something that was causing damage, but you had not realized
   you were doing.   I don't have a clue as to what that might be -- but
   if your procedure now is working for you, by all means stick to
   it:-}}
