Not before they were photographed by the USAF.  Becaue of workload and
priority issues, the photographs weren't interpreted until after the war.

Then there's the paperwork.  The companies that built them invoiced for
them - the invoices got destroyed but the duplicates didn't.  Plus sales
brochures for the automated crematorium equipment wil details of
bodies/hour.  And invoices for the Zyklon B.

The invoices for the "special trains" discovered in an East
Berlin travel agent's files when the Wall went down.  The complaints by the
Reichsbahn that they never had a return cargo.

The HUGE volume of gold teeth, jewellry and spectacles delivered to the
Reichsbank, which at one point complained it had nowhere to store the gold.
The piles of personal effects - such as shoes - discovered by the
liberators.
